I adopted 2 kittens from you about 11 months ago. One of the kittens I adopted had an eye infection. He was on meds when we got him so I continued the meds as explained. I specifically asked if what he had was contagious for fear of bringing it home to my other cats. I was told no, it's not, it's just the environment he's been kept in. I'm furious! It's been almost a year and I'm still battling this. It's spread to all my cats over the past several months, I've had them in and out of the vet several times racking up hellaious vet bills. Turns out it's chlamydia and very contagious. I can not express how angry I am over the lack of knowledge your employees have. Or was I just lied to just so I'd adopt? If I was told what was wrong, I still would have adopted, I just would have taken the proper precautions not to contaminate my other cats. I constantly disinfect my house, cat bowls, water dishes, toys, etc.. but to no avail, it keeps coming back. All vaccines are up to date and everything. I understand funds are limited there but when an animal is sick, it should be quarantined and potential adopters should be told what is truly wrong with the animal. Not only do I have 4 sick cats, I'm out all the cost due to improper information. Very poor service in my opinion. Sad
They seem to genuinely care about the animals and network for adoptions since they are *not* a no-kill shelter.
Almost all of their kittens are sick with a runny nose and a bad cough .. .
EDIT: They're definitely trying harder to take care of their animals now. They're all in great health, and the staff is much more friendly.
