The staff was friendly and competent (they even gave me the welcome basket from the bride and groom without a hitch). The only thing I wish I had was a refrigerator. However, I'd give that up for everything else.

We stayed here on 12/18/2009. We were forced to stay here because the interstate closed. Every hotel in town was full and we were very fortunate to get a room here. The rooms on the second floor were difficult to get to in a snow storm but the helpfulness of the employees made this only a minor inconvenience. The staff was stranded and didn't leave until every customer was taken care of. They could have raised the rates but I paid $74 on a Friday night in a stor. A very reasonable price. There was no food but the staff were trying to assist and offered their own microwave to help. They kept the 20+ inches of snow cleared and were very great. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Highly recommended!

Oh yeah, and the bed was comfortable!!!

For sixty four bucks a night (cheaper than Hampton Inn) you get a room that's super clean and clearly cared for, towels that are NOT paper thin, bars of soap that are far better than the standard issue and a breakfast that's more than suitable to get you going in the morning.

I've stayed in dumps that cost more with far worse service and far worse breakfasts.

I was in Lewisburg for a wedding and most guests were staying at the Greenbrier, which is well out of my price range. I read the reviews here and settled on the Brier Inn and made a reservation.

Don't be worried about the slightly dated exterior. It's obvious they really care about the rooms.

I made a reservation with this hotel that is supposedly pet friendly. On the hotel website it stated that the cost for pets was $50 per stay. When I called to confirm before I left for my trip, I found out that they were charging me $50 a night! When I spoke with the manager, he repeatedly said they had changed their policy. The manager refused to back up the advertised price for this service, which is false advertisement...and illegal. The manager was rude over the phone and instead of backing up what was plainly written on his hotel website, offered to cancel my reservation. There is obviously NO concern whatsoever for the customer at this hotel. If you stay here and run into problems there is not a competent manager to turn to to resolve a customer service issue. If your dog travels with you, there is a Super 8 across the road that allows dogs...without the exorbitant price. There is also a national forest campground 5 miles down the interstate that rents pet friendly cabins in a gorgeous setting (Greenbrier National Forest).
