My wife and I are local and have been around Lewisburg all of our lives. This is not the first time Food and Friends has been slow, but never this slow. It won't happen again as we have both gone for the last time. Shame, as the food is fantastic, but very pricey.
Wonderful food, if it ever gets served to you. My wife and I has a 5:30 PM dinner reservation and were seated promptly at 5:30. After lots of waiting and even seeing a couple of tables seated after us served before we were, we were finally brought our entrees at 7:10 only to have to pack them to go without eating since we had Carnegie Hall tickets for a 7:30 show.
We were very disappointed with our experience at food and friends. The menu seemed promising and so did the atmosphere at first. Then we noticed the jazz elevator music playing out of blown speakers, the closed off seating arrangements, and the outrageous price of the food. We were thinking we would surely be receiving top quality food for this much money. I payed $17 for a chicken parmigiana meal that tasted like it came out of a frozen dinner box. My girlfriend payed the same price for an equally sub par chicken alfredo dish. We certainly wouldn't have come here if we didn't trust the overall rating on google, but now we are skeptical.
Nice place for a quick afternoon lunch. The restaurant was a little dark lighting inside. Very friendly atmosphere. Wait staff was quick and polite.
Me and my friends came here for my birthday. It was amazing. Food was wonderful and service outstanding. If you want a nice upscale meal in a wonderful town, this is the place to go.
My husband and I stopped by Lewisberg as part of a long road trip and decided to have lunch here after reviewing the menu online. First, I must say our waitress, Kim, was fantastic. She was charming, warm, and welcoming. Unfortunately, that is where the good part of this experience ended. First, the chicken salad was excessively sweet, as was the frozen fruit salad and the dinner roll. So much sugar that I felt a little ill afterwards. Secondly, a man that I presume was the manager was quietly arguing with an employee in front of customers. I found his behavior very unprofessional. Aside from a lack of leadership skills and compassion, it was simply a little rude and embarrassing. As much as I wanted to like this restaurant in this very cute town, I simply cannot find a lot of good things to say.
